Brake issues
04 Ford F150 XLT 5.4 4X4
New brakes and rotors all the way around. Two new calibers on the front. Bleed two front brakes 3-4 times each until nice and firm with no air bubbles. Start truck peddle goes straight to the floor. Bleed 3-4 times each tire again. Same case. Master cylinder has fluid. What gives?

Whenever I bleed mine, my pedal goes to the floor a few times on startup until it builds pressure back up again.

what method are you using to bleed the brakes? you might be getting air in the system through the bleeder screw threads. Maybe try teflon tape around the bleeder treads or grease to create an air tight seal there

Did you start in the rear farthest away from the Master cylinder and work your way forward , keeping the M/C full at all times ?

No because I only changed the front two calibers. Never messed with breeders on back two. I'm using the buddy method to bleed. You think I need to do all four brakes?

When your "buddy" is pressing on the brakes...is he going all the way to the floor before you tighten the bleeder? you are suppose to tighten the bleeder before he bottoms the pedal..and IF he acutally lets the pedal up before you have a chance to tighten the bleeder you will get air in the system. I perfer using the Mityvac kit...you just have to make sure the treads of the bleeder screw are airtight otherwise this method doesnt work either..
