1997 ford ping

i have a 97 ford 4.6-it pings all the time-new egr-coils-plugs-fuel pump-maf-defe-wires-what more can i do.

someone out there must know more than i do about my ping and thats not a lot.

Have you tried the fuel filter? What octane gas are you using? What kind of spark plugs?

we had a truck at work do this replaced all the plus and ran in damn near down to E then filled it with 93 octane... what it was... was water in the fuel.

'97 4.6 ping

My '97 with 195,000 on it spent much of its life pinging under most load conditions. Changed to non-ethanol premium at about 150,000, end of problem. Surprised I haven't broken a ring or something worse.

i have filling it up with 93 for the last 2 years-new plugs- with what it calls for.maf-wires-coils-fuel filter-seafoam
