"Built Ford Tough" all right. Stopped at a traffic light, obviously screwing around with the phone when the cars on the left start moving. My brain catches it and thinks "hey green light, lets GO!"
First one ever, so I am quite surprised at how much damage was caused with a "collision" at 5 mph. Hid as much of the plates so that the angle of the bumper shows. It'll be a "new" (Keystone or some other aftermarket) bumper, the AAC radar module, those plastic covers, paint film for the grill and couldnt see anymore.
Am i the only one that can't tell if this is supposed to be sarcastic?
It's a deflection from the fact that he wasn't paying attention and was 100% at fault. Embarrassing.
I remember being in a Starbucks drive through line and letting off my brake pedal because the drive was level. The girl behind me ran right in to my spare tire with her hood. I was in an SUV. I looked in the mirror at the moment of impact and she was looking down at a phone.

At least you owned up to screwing up. Now would be an excellent time to go to a *real* aftermarket bumper
Yeah of course, I told the older gentleman sorry, let me get my insurance, snap pictures of it, again apologized and told him to call me if he had any issues with Geico. Geico called him about 10 mins after I was done calling them. I must say, losing your virginity wasnt such a big deal (car accident virginity that is).
So what I did this morning, I kid you not, connected the phone to the btooth on sync 3 and dropped on the glovebox. Should have done that several years ago...
My Dad did something similar with his '18. He was turning right from the right turn lane, truck in front of him (also turning right) went so he looked left, it was clear so he started to take off. Well the truck in front of him decided they needed to turn left part way into their right turn so they stopped in the middle of the road to make an illegal u turn and my dad tagged the rear bumper. Guy didn't have insurance and begged my dad to not contact the police so now he's trying to find a bumper since he has a 2" square dent from the other trucks receiver. He said he couldn't tell if there was any damage to the other truck because it was already mangled.
It happens a lot, i've been hit a few time in the back at lights, i think most people aren't paying attention and take their foot off the brake. Leaving any hitch in helps with that lol.
