Sorry, but you deserve it. My 6 day old Lariat is in the shop right now because it just got rear ended at a stoplight by an A-hole on a cell phone.
Bumper took the damage, all $930 worth. What I don't understand is that most vehicles have bluetooth now and people still choose to text while driving.
This really bothers me because I also ride a Harley and they scare the crap out of me.

Glad it wasn't anymore serious than that Texas!!! My accident was a little more involved and Insurance is at $15,000 so far. That includes a frame replacement. Hopefully I'll get it back Friday after almost 3 months without. Fortunately, it's been dry and I've been racking up the miles on my Goldwing!!! Stay safe!!!

A sudden stop on I-635 on North Dallas highway with wet roads is what got me. Also being new to a truck, I learned the hard way how long it really takes to stop. I hadn't even made my first payment on it when this happened. I was pretty thankful that there was an actual metal bumper in the front, unlike my mustang which is plastic. There wasn't too much damage in it, and was able to drive it from Dallas back home in NW Louisiana. Obviously the bumper and the shutters were damaged, but also the inter cooler, the bumper mounts had to be re-worked, and the grill was cracked a bit, so I'm getting a new one of those too. What really put the icing on the cake for this trip, was the following night. There was a bad storm and I got hail damage as well, all over the hood, roof and cracked windshield. Took just under a month to get it out of the shop, but looks much better now. You can't even tell there was any hail dents.

Cant do aftermarket bumper because of ACC.
Why not? I have a full front end replacement and they have an ACC relocation bracket. Works great. A little longer "nose" than I want, but them's the breaks...

Phones aren't the issue.

Phones in the car used to be sold as a selling feature, and rarely caused issues.

It was the advent of text messaging, and more so, social media (FB, IG, etc...) forcing people to take their eyes off the road.

Well, maybe not "forcing", since it's your own choice whether or not to pay attention.

I mean before text messaging, you wouldn't pull out a type writer and start writing a letter to someone behind the wheel, so why we do it with these "phones" nowadays is beyond me.

Why are these things even still called "phones" anyway when the LAST thing anyone does is make an actual phone call?

Glad you're OK

Eek! Sorry man, but glad they got it all sorted out for you. That 635-35W flyover is horrible. Some idiot IN A PRIUS almost ran me over trying to merge last second this past weekend.

Mmm, you're gonna have to link me to one because the research I have done (admittedly, little) shows that none are compatible with ACC

I was in San Anton end of July beginning of Aug. LOL, you guys are something else. Felt like something out of Mad Max, especially around 410/ih10 flyover. I ended up taking 281 all the time. One thing is for sure, it gave my bilsteins a good work out

Look at my build thread. The Fab Fours replacement front end supports it with an add-on bracket. Road Armor also does, but they're heavy as **** and the bracket isn't nearly as nice.
