I joined Mustang Club of America so I could get X-plan. I don't like to negotiate. Buying a vehicle is a real pain in the *** and I absolutely hate all the bull**** and time that can be associated with it. X-plan makes it simple and easy. One of the best car buying experiences that I've ever had, and I hate buying a new vehicle.

I paid 51K (out the door) for a fully loaded 502A Lariat and I'm happy with it. Sure, I probably could have made a better deal if I had spent a bunch of time and effort negotiating. But I hate doing that. And it's not worth the time and effort IMO.

X-plan made it very easy.

or you could spend a few minutes with Google and find a dealer such as Holiday Ford that will sell at invoice - holdback - rebates with no hassles either. As long as your happy with the deal, that's all that matters.

I'm heading to a dealer today to try to haggle my price. It's about 2 hours from home, but they have a truck pretty close to what I want. Only missing the extended fuel tank. I figure if this doesn't go as planned I can talk to my local dealer and try to get it transferred here for the xplan price. Fingers crossed...

Well, I'm a Ford owner again! Didn't mention the x plan (well, mentioned I knew what the price was and you could get it with a Costco membership) I ended up within about $200 of the xplan price. But I feel like I got a better deal on my trade by not mentioning it. Got them to throw in a bed liner, they beat my credit union's APR, and filled the tank. I probably could have squeezed a few hundred more out of the deal, but I live 5 hours round trip and it wasn't worth leaving and coming back to me.

Thanks for all your help if there are any questions I can answer, I'll do my best.

Thanks again!

Congrats! What did you get?
I am still waiting on a few things to sort out before I know what I am going to get (XLT in one scenario, Lariat or Plat in another). Hopeful to do a no hassle under XPlan price, but XPlan is still decent.
Anyways, congrats!
Matt

I ended up with a 4x4 SCrew lariat. I didn't really want (meaning want to pay for) navigation, BLIS, or the tailgate step. But I DID want the 2.7 with the payload and towing package along with the tow mirrors. It will be hard living with the extra options, but I guess I'll get used to those sexy LED tail lights.

As for my personal preference, using the xplan had pros and con's. If I was ordering a new truck, I probably would have used it because I would get exactly what I want. But in the end I FEEL like I got a good deal, and that's what's important.

I would like to know this too.

Also, while searching i filtered 4X4 and only 1 Silver Platinum showed up.
unchecked that option and several others. So does that mean all others are not 4X4?
