Windshield question
So I have a 2020 Lariat 502a. Cracked windshield thanks to interstate rock. State Farm insurance, covers 100% zero deductible. Question, so that I know company coming installs correct one, I do have the heater strips on the wiper blades, is there anything else unique I should make sure is on the new windshield, like special tinting?? I'm pretty sure the lane assist is just part of headliner console. Do they get my vin# form my policy, and match windshield that way? They did say it is not oem, but meets or exceeds oem. they have great Google reviews and State Farm recommended them. thx
About an inch above the VIN# on your OEM glass is printed “SoundSystem” . It is kind of hard to see, light has to be right. I understand it is supposed to lower wind noise that cheaper glass wont do. Just heard about this a few weeks ago myself
Thank You ! I will ask before they come. And FYI, it says 'Sound Screen'
They should get the specs from your VIN, and it should include all the features of your current glass, including SoundScreen (which is a type of lamination), the dark sunscreen strip across the top, wiper parking area heaters, and the heating element in front of the lane-keeping camera. Replacement should include recalibrating and testing the camera and auto wiper sensor if you have it.

OEM glass. You can demand it, your insurance company may try to fight you, just stick to your guns.
Though to be fair, the OEM glass is typically made by one of the premium' brands that the glass shops offer.
I would definitely demand the sound screen glass.
