Top center of my windshield 2017. Theres a ford emblem/sticker. What is it for? Im thinking about tinting the front door glass and a visor strip of tint. And don't want to block it. If it is something .

 

It's an emblem. Have you checked the owners manual?

 

Yes and i did a internet search and ask the Guy that i was going to get to do it. And then i ask here. Not saying its not in the Manual. But i couldn't find anything.

It just looks like a hole lot of trouble. To just put a sticker up there with all those holes in it.

 

You can put the visor strip over it, it only blocks it from the inside.

 

That's weird. I mean mine has the black dots on each side of the mirror but I've never noticed if it says Ford So I just went to look and it does not. Could it just be something's on the trim level you have maybe?

I see what your saying. It couldn't block anything from the outside.

 

If your windshield does not have it then I suspect your windshield is not the original factory installed windshield. In my area a replacement windshield with the"Ford" logo on it costs $200-$400 more than a windshield with out it. Everyone tells me it's a Ford licensing thing.

 

It's the window it came with from the factory, even had the Ford sticker in the corner.
Anybody have a pic of where this emblem is?

 

Just had a windshield put in my 2017 xl. It was roughly 80 bucks more for the ford emblem. Since everyone offered it without also i doubt it has a function.

 

It serves as a third sunvisor in the middle of the windshield.
