Default Windshield

First road trip with my new 150 and I get a rock to nick my windshield. Next day in the heat it turned into a crack that is now about a foot long

Question; this looks to be a difficult replacement with the camera, headlight dimmer sensor, the black shading around the mirror. It also appears to be a Ford specific windshield as it says something about "Sound", tint, etc.

Has anyone had theirs replaced? Did you get the exact windshield as comes from Ford? I'm concerned that some glass company will put in a windshield of a lesser quality and call it a day. I really want the exact windshield.

Just tell your insurance company you want an OEM windshield replacement.

Traveling on interstate i got a rock ding that spread within minutes. You can get original glass installed for ~440.00. The dealers here dont install but did refer me to some recommended shops. I choose original glass due to v3hicle age and soundscreen. Lower quality glass can be found for ~150.00

Just had mine replaced today.. Safelite installed Ford SoundScreen glass. I have the rain-sensing system with lane camera & auto-brights. USAA insurance.

If you tell them you're paying out of pocket the replacement goes WAY down in cost. Thats what I've always done.

On my '12 I had to have it replaced 5 times in 3 years (I know...the hell!?) and never turned it over to insurance because my deductible is $1500, and through insurance the glass was like $400 whereas out of pocket it was only $225 (I think the last one was less?) so I ended up saving money either way getting the OEM glass.

Unless something has changed in the past month, there isn't a aftermarket glass for the 2015 at this point.

Safelite put oem glass in mine last month and per the installer that is the only option.

232 for glass, 92 for labor from the insurance receipt.

I feel much better, Safelite is here now, the windshield is exactly the same with Ford logos and all.

I have had good luck with safelite plus a nationwide warranty.
