Talking window tint

Just got front windows tinted today. Asked the lady what shade most go with, she said same tint as the rear, so that's what I did. Hope I don't get pulled over and have to get it removed! lol. Looks great.

Depends on your jurisdiction and the mood of the officer. Some people go for years and never get bothered others not so lucky. I personally and I will get flamed feel it's a dumb idea in this era of police unrest and loaded guns to do anything that could escalate a situation in a traffic stop or reduce viability in low light situation that might be considered by the court and plaintive attorney as contributing to an accident. just to look cool

If you get pulled over just roll both your windows down and they won't know.

As stated, depends on state laws and cops mood. I know my Miami cops will RARELY pull you over for tint. 15% on front windows, another 35% over factory tint in the back, 50% on front windshield. I love it

Most police departments won't make a big deal of it unless you do something else to attract their attention, or you behave in a disrespectful way when pulled over. I qualified for a medical exemption in my home state and got every window tinted, including the rear. The few times I've been pulled over, I rolled down the door windows and turned on the dome light to give the officer a clear line of sight into the vehicle. They didn't say a word about the tint.

Agreed. I love the look but wouldn't do it. Just a reason to get pulled over late at night for no other reason. I love it when I see kids (probably the group most likely to have something "improper" in the vehicle) that have drake tint, blue halos on their headlights, etc. cruising around at night. It's not gonna end well at some point.

Yeah that's an extreme example but if you're going to invite law enforcement just make sure you're not ridin' dirty!

Virginia will pull you over just for window tint, even with out of state tags.

I've had 5% on every vehicle I've owned since 2005. Only issue is getting an inspection sticker, aside from that no problems.

Agreed. Same here in Kentucky. Every time I look at my truck I'm like...meh. It's legal tho.

Yeah, the same for me too. I sometimes wish it was a little darker in the fronts. But that is in the daytime. When I ride in my son's truck, which his fronts are dark as the backs, I cannot see very well through them at night from the inside. At least with my old man eyes

He has no problem with it at night though.
