Question What is the latest version of the NAV maps software? Sept 2025

Here in September 2025, what is the latest version of the navigation map software for our SYNC v3.4 trucks?

My current software revision levels:
- SYNC 3: "v3.4 build 23188"
- Nav Maps: "NA 2 23"

Last fall (August 2024) I went to the update website (https://syncnavigation.com/ford/home) and after putting in my VIN, it said there was an update available. I purchased it, and when it arrived, it was "NA 2 23" -- same version as I already had.

When I looked on the nav map update page today (September 2025), it again tells me that "an update is available" for my VIN, but there is absolutely ZERO info as to what version of the nav map software it wants to sell me. None. Even at checkout, there is nothing to tell me what version of the Nav maps I am buying. There is no number to call, and no help available on that page.

Any help from the forum? Has anyone purchased the nav map update lately and what version did you get? Is it still "NA 2 23"? I'd like to buy the update if there is one available.

(Yes, I could use Apple CarPlay which is superior in some ways, but for a number of reasons, I prefer to use the built-in nav)

Thanks! That is what I needed to know.

(Funny coincidence: I see you are from Calgary -- I just flew out of Calgary yesterday to come back home to Utah!)

It's NA 2 24. It came out a few months ago. If you're signed up on Ford's owner support site, they will send you an email when a new version is available.

Thanks Taggart! I've just now purchased it -- now to find 1.5-2 hours to get it installed.

It took my system over 2 hours. I installed during a road trip to ensure it wasn't interrupted and cause me to have to start over from the beginning.

Indeed, I had the same experience. About 2.5 hours start to finish for me!

I was glad to see it complete... I was going to give it 3 hours and then pull the plug and start over! Thought it might have silently failed...

I must be living right. I don't think it took any more than 40 min to update to 23188 and NA 2 24.

I think when I installed "2 23" it was about 1.5 hours -- which is what I was guessing for "2 24"... nope.

I made that mistake on my first map update.

No idea why, but I recall the combined 23188/NA 2 22 update on my truck was shorter than the other map updates, which have been > 90 minutes.
