Can you expound?

 

I plugged my phone in, tapped the "Apps" icon - it only listed the Sirius Travel thing and FordPass. So, then I tried opening Waze on my phone and the Waze icon immediately popped up next to the FordPass icon. I tapped the Waze icon and my phone went to the locked screen in the picture above and the Sync screen displayed a mirrored version of the Waze app. It really just looks like the Waze app does on my phone in landscape mode - just displayed on my Sync screen.

 

I am not sure why this worked for you, but I can confirm that nothing I do will get it to work on either of my Sync vehicles.

 

Is everything up-to-date? iOS? Sync? Waze?

 

Yes, everything is up to date. We even have the exact same truck. Only difference I can see it that I have an iphone X. Not sure why that should matter. It is obviously working for you for some reason, but I feel like maybe it is not supposed to be. This is a pretty big deal for Ford and Waze and I can't imagine why the release notes wouldn't mention it. I am anxiously awaiting others experiences trying to get this to work.

 

Only other thing I can think of is that I just did the new Sync Nav updates, but I wouldn't think that would matter.

 

 

Having it display on the sync 3 screen as it does on the iPhone will be a plus. The Android display of Waze on Sync 3 is just plain ugly and dark, not visually friendly IMHO.
