I shudder to imagine what would happen if some people ever encountered snow while driving.

It's been pretty annoying for me. I guess it's because here in Hawaii it's pretty common for passing trade showers to drop quite a bit of rain on the truck and then it's sunny the next minute so you come out of the store or whatever, you start down the road on a sunny day with no wipers on and then all of a sudden all the water hits the window. I have never had a vehicle do this.

I'm sure others have noticed this. Has anybody experienced this and then had the problem go away after installing a bug shield? If so, my first "mod" will be a bug shield.
this is terrible from Ford! Take it back and change it! You are absolutely entitled to a new truck and compensation......

I've owned several cars that have done this, even the last generation mustang would do this. I never considered it annoying because I keep a good coat of wax on my vehicles at all times so if there is water on my hood, it's gone really quick so this is usually not a consistent problem while driving, and if it's raining, the wipers are on anyways. Auto wipers are a bonus too.

Ok, that's the reply I was looking for, thank you. Guess I just have to live with it.

I thought it was an added feature. I play with the water by slowing down and speeding up. Its so fun to try and hold the puddle in one spot on the hood for as long as you can.

Plays hell on the fuel mileage and often times you have to slam on your brakes too keep from rear ending someone cause your paying too much attention to the water on the hood then whats in front of you.

I guess Ford should probably put out a TSB on this before some gets a lawyer and starts a class action lawsuit.

I do have land down south that it never rains on, if any of you guys are interested in buying some to store your vehicle on.

I do like dougrkyle. Or, I am guilty of doing this on at least one occasion. Seems like the water that collects goes completely against physics when you start slowing and it jumps back at the cab instead of rolling of the front.

Happens to me as well...my first thought was that this is caused by the electric lips on the front (or the grill shutters).

Weird. For me if I was going about 45 mph then stopped a big pool of water would splash up. Now with the stampede deflector the water just goes behind it.
