Water splashing up from front hood.

Water splashing up from front hood.
It rained pretty good last night and all the water that collected on the roof came waterfalling down my windshield and on to my hood when I braked leaving my driveway. Well ok, whatever, I've had plenty vehicles that did this. No biggie. Down the road I go... Now upon slowing for a red light all that water comes flying back up the hood right at the window! WTF? I'm sure others have noticed this. Has anybody experienced this and then had the problem go away after installing a bug shield? If so, my first "mod" will be a bug shield.

I would think this happens to all owners.
This happens to me to, but on a scale of 1 to 10, this is a one...maybe a two. To me, it appears that when driving, aerodynamic forces cause the water to pool in one place at a ridge on the hood. Then, when you slow down, the water cuts loose and splashes on the windshield. Seems like Ford would have discovered this in aerodynamic testing. Heck, maybe they did and didn't think it was a big deal.

Had a Tahoe before my F150 and it did the same thing. I have a bug guard on my truck and it still happens. I don't see it as a problem at all, give your truck a good wax job and it intensifies!

This has been covered a few times but others have said that leveling the truck will solve it and I personally know that having a hood defector will too.
