Default Waiting on the 2017

After a couple issues with my 2012 EB ( still cuts out sometimes on super hard excelleration ) bad CAT and tranny modul gone bad - going to try and make it for the 2017 to make a bigger jump.

Love my truck, but hearing the EB will gain allot for 2017 -

Anyone else waiting for 2017? If so, why?

The only 'upgraded' Eco in 17 is in the Raptor. Non Raptors will have the same eco as '16.

I hear the 18's are getting sync 4, new 5.0 Eco-boost and the 12 speed automatic. Personally I'd wait for the 18...

Only reason to wait for the 2017 would be for the 10 speed transmission right now, nothing else is really being rumored or known from what I have seen.

Supposedly the '17 3.5EB's are getting some of the goodies that the 2.7's have. e.g. auto stop/start, etc.

Not that that's a feature really worth waiting for.

My friend/former coworker in Visteon said that during this last shutdown/retooling they went to DRBN. 2017s are getting start stop on the 3.5L and cylinder deactivation on the 5.0, kinda like the Ram MDS.

He didnt mention anything about the 10-sp auto for 2017. Most of the "upgrades" are small issues that are being ironed out from the 2015/2016 MY run.
