Default Vibration

2019 F150 SuperCab, 2.7L ecoboost. Vibration throughout the truck at all speeds above 40 mph. Dealer says it's normal. Dealer road force balanced all tires and replaced one tire. Had two other shops balance tires. Vibration has not changed. The vibration is more of a harmonic vibration in the seat and steering wheel. I think a long drive would numb your hands. Has 2400 miles on it now. Vibration from new. Purchased with 25 miles on the odometer. Anyone else with these issues?

I also have a '19 supercab but no vibration, Some other threads mentioned vibration when the truck has a two piece driveshaft. Is it different at 70 than 40?

It is consistent throughout the speeds above 40 mph. there is a point at about 58 mph when it is slightly diminished. I also have a two piece drive shaft and am wondering if the balance is off from the factory.

If it were tires there is a start and end point somewhere about 45 - 53 MPH, then smooth. Since yours starts at 40 and does not go away, I doubt it would be tire related. Does frequency increase the faster you go or remain the same? Might want an independent shop inspect the driveline before having the dealer do it. All they do is throw parts at it instead of actually trying to diagnose it. If could be many different things, mainly the pinion on either the front or rear diff, or the driveshaft. It could also be a bad axle shaft.

It's a 2WD, no front drive shaft. Frequency seems to be consistent. I am planning on taking it to a drive line balancing shop and have them remove the drive shaft and check the balance. I don't trust dealers. Too many times I've been misled by them or they didn't actually do anything.

Could also be pinion pre-load so have that checked as well. If driveshaft related I would think the frequency would increase with speed since the shaft is not a constant speed, neither is the pinion, but it can only vibrate so much so may have less change in frequency with speed. The rear diff has a history of poor pinion preload and causing vibrations.

A few weeks ago I posted something about finally going into service for multiple issues and this was one of them. Still have the issue btw.
My 2018 STX 2.7 CC 6.5 2wd- noticed during two test drives before purchasing (OH) new last Nov. Dealer service manager said it was smooth as a baby's... I smiled and said of course it is. At the time I couldn't pinpoint the issue. A few days after purchase I had them swap the tires to a mild A/T for snow purposes and still had the same problem. Wasn't till I owned it for a few weeks that I could pin-point and induce the issue. Now I don't even have to look at the speedometer to know when I've hit 47mph. Mine occurs at 47mph and goes away at 60'ish. Can be felt mainly in the steering wheel/seat. Took to dealer 3x's here (FL), after discovering wet/moldy carpet, and it wasn't until the 3rd visit that I took the service manager for a drive. Previous 'techs' stated no issue. I drove for the first 5 miles, then him, and he agreed that yes, there is a vibration, but that it isn't driveshaft/rear diff, and tried blaming tires till I mentioned that two different sets, balanced multiple times, and that it goes away once you left off the gas...it wouldn't do that if it were tires. He then blamed the 10spd trans torque converter stating that they're still sorting out all the issues with this transmission. I responded that if it were the torque converter (thinking rpm related) then it'd go away when changing the setting from normal to sport, causing a downshift from 10 to 8th gear, and thus changing the rpm's. I demonstrated, but to no avail, he noted on the R/O that it was an inherent characteristic of the 10spd trans and that no repair required at this time. I'm still not sure where to go with this and have been waiting/hoping for something definitive so I can get mine repaired. I've done the arbitration/lemon law thing and honestly, just don't have the time/energy for that fight. Of the 5 items mine went into service for, this is the only one still lingering...well, that's if my leak check goes well today.

i hope you are able to pinpoint the root cause of the vibration. there are countless threads on the internet about this and nobody has a fix.

my 2018 has a slight steering nibble from 40km/h and up... when i turn my steering wheel slightly to the left (like changing lanes) the vibration becomes noticeable. From 80km up to 140km+ the vibration not only is in the steering wheel but also in the floorboard and throttle cable. i have an amazing dealership that has tried to help me resolve the problem but has come to a dead end.

this is what has been done to my 2018 with 45000kms all work under warranty
-Roadforce balance wheels and tires
-Change different brand tires
-rotate tires
-new IWEs
-new hubs
-machines brake rotors
-new brake rotors
-new front cv driveshafts
-new front driveshaft
-new transfer case
-new EPAS gearbox

... vibe is still there.... at least i got all new parts 😒

I have the same thing. 2019 super crew Platinum. Under 130 miles since brand new. Drive it home starting acting funny a few min later. Been at dealer since last week. Replaced all 4 tires vibration still there. Pissed off!
