It's a no for me as well. Can you not fit what you need in the bed?

It's not about drilling holes or fitting stuff in the bed. When you have to bug out, you absolutely need more cargo capacity and a light bar to illuminate your path through the wilderness to your safe haven. Or mostly just appearing that your ready to do so in the mall parking lot.

You asked for validation that it looks cool. If you need validation, I'd say don't do it.

Personally I have no use for a roof rack and I'm not a fan of how they look, so it'd be a no for me. If you like the way it looks or have a use for it then that's all that matters. Keep in mind if you were to base it off the replies here it would probably have a negative impact on your resale down the road.

Yeah if you like it and see a need for it that’s all that matters. For me I think I’d prefer a bed rack type setup.

If the truck was lifted with bigger tires and had an aggressive to look to it, then I could kind of see adding it. Installing it on a stock truck does not look good at all.

I think logic will prevail for now. I don't really need it, I'm really just a sucker for a deal on facebook. I love the way the prisnu racks look on tacomas/4 runners, but I don't think this one is as sleek. I'd like to get into light overlanding (truck camping) to attempt to get my fiance into camping and the outdoors. If I find a bedrack, rooftop tent set up I may end up adding it, but will hold off for now.
