Upgrading SYNC to SYNC 3
@TexasFording I have a slightly different request in regards to APIM programming. I was going to send you a PM but I don't think I can due to too few posts. Let me know if you could PM me to get started? Thanks a bunch

In my 2020 transit the original setup is a 4" screen + sync3 (I thought it was an odd option but it gave me an APIM instead of the lower level controller)
The APIM is the same part number as the one for the 8" screen option.
I got 8" screen off eBay and it is plug and play and works except now I need either a software/firmware update and/or configuration update (maybe via forscan?)
Not sure which it is.
I'm looking to purchase the SW and support to get this done.
Thoughts?

Being as this thread is back on the front page I thought I'd toss in an update.
It has been three years now since purchasing and installing my S3 from TexasFording
Flawless.
I had to take the truck in to have the recall for the Brake Booster done a couple of days ago. First time it's been to Ford service since the recall for the ACC "update" back in mid 2015. Truck has been flawless and as I do all of my own maintenance there hasn't been a reason to take it in.
The guys in the service department were impressed how well the conversion came out. They assumed the paperwork was messed up thinking it should have shown as a '16 ('16's came with S3) instead of a '15 which came with S2.
I'd most certainly do this all over again the exact same way by getting in touch with TexasFording and get-er-done.

@TexasFording I was going to PM you, but apparently since my account is new, I am not allowed. Mind shooting me the info for the 2 to 3 upgrade? I just traded my 2019 Flex Limited EcoBoost in for a 2015 XLT EcoBoost today...I already miss my sync 3. The Infotainment price is a bit more than I'd like to spend.
