You have a version 3 gen 1

IMHO Nothing for us to gain doing the upgrade it really is not worth the risk

My only motivation to get the 7D0-09 blocks is to enable the new climate screen (with vehicle pictures) to see if Ford buried an image if the Bronco in there. Other than that there's not really much need to update the firmware unless if you have some sort if significant problem.

Image of similar climate setting page provided by Livnitup.

Oh that is cool I have that DTC U3000, I played with the 08 blocks today, wanted to get weather alerts and other TCU feature. Got it to show the weather alerts but the SiriusXM would not work the new TCUs have a lot of extra lines and the new ACM have more lines too, I am guessing to make those things work you would need a 2020 acm and TCU, or maybe firmware updates. But right now I am stuck with that U3000 DTC

I'm not that optimistic. Ford is transitioning Sync to a cloud based platform which is evident when you read the new APIM as built mappings, so I expect a lot of cool things listed are things we can't add ourselves because they won't be controlled from the client end.

Interesting. Because my 2011 Sync 2 originally would remember which "screen" I turned it off on: if I left it on full navigation view, it would start with that same view; not so with my 2013 MFT, which always started with the Home screen, and still does with the Sync 3 APIM retrofit. When I brought the 2011 truck in for the transmission reprogram recall, they must of updated more than the transmission because Sync would afterwards always start on the Home screen view no matter what I did. I still have all the original 2011 As-Builts before the Ford recall reprogram but I no longer have the truck and hadn't saved the module settings post-reprogram so I can't perform a block-by-block comparison of all the modules.

I didn't know that some Sync 3 systems were set to remember the last view, so now I, too, am also interested in finding out which elusive block holds that key...
