Upgrade Sync 3 V3.0 to V3.4 instructions
#1431
Link to 3.3 19052 https://ivsubinaries.azureedge.net/s...3626000.TAR.GZ
This is the apps package only, you have to create your own autoinstall.lst file that points to it. Standard file structure. Apps file goes into a directory called SyncMyRide and the autoinstall.lst file goes in the root directory.
This will install over any version of 3.2/3.3/3.4
[SYNCGen3.0_ALL]
Item1 = 4U5T-14G381-AN_1552583626000.TAR.GZ
Open1 = SyncMyRide\4U5T-14G381-AN_1552583626000.TAR.GZ
Options = AutoInstall

I have a 2019 Explorer on Sync3 3.0. From what I understand, the reformater is for MY18.5, will this work on a 2019? Could the reformater file be modified to restore the initial file structure to allow downgrade back to 3.0? What method is used to SSH into the APIM? Is this published anywhere?
I am currently on Calibration level JR3T-14G371-CHA, Bootloader GB5T-14G376-AA, Strategy HB5T-14G374-CA, Calibration HB5T-14G374-CA, Sound Profile GB5T-14G379-AA, Illumination HB5T-14G379-BA, so probably no need to reflash to avoid glitches on 3.4.

As for the calibration, your running a lot newer than most of the people that have done this without any issues, so there shouldn't be any issues on your end.

I'll save you some time; don't bother trying.
There's only a few compatible USB to Ethernet dongles that will work.
Ford only permits a few specific external USB device ID's to connect as a security measure, but one of the really old Best Buy in-house-brand 'Insigna' USB Ethernet dongles works for sure. I forget the model number, but I think they are still posted on the France Mustang forums.
Some people have gotten in with the SSH client KiTTY using:
Internal APIM IP = 192.168.1.19
Username: root
Password: #Pasa3Fo
Even with this information I expect 99.9% of the people who try it will fail.
Only about 4-5 people on earth have rooted Sync 3, they worked together and won't share anything; I'm not one of them.

It's a gorilla 16GB usb drive. Only one i had laying around that could also be configured to be able to setup the maps and such too.
formatted it as FAT32, just unzipped the files from the 7z right onto the drive after format.

Might want to try a different one (usb3 would be better), as many issues reported are related to that.
