Default Transmission shift patterns.

How do y'all like the way the 2015+ shift patterns are set?

I have the 3.5EB, but drove the other engines and they all seemed to really want to be in the tallest gear possible.

This is the only thing that bothers me (other than sync2)

I'm wondering if it's just me...

Reason I say that is because I called a few of the tuners and they say they leave the transmission logic as-is since folks are happy with it.

I do have an Unleashed tune and he said I am the first to ask for shift modification.

Anyone think the tranny does it's best to bog things down too much?
I realize it's for fuel mileage, but I personally would prefer less economy than cruising around town 30mph in 5th gear.

Just curious....

I tend to agree with you, but then again there is always sport mode. The shift points in sport mode are quite a bit more aggressive.

Shift patterns are horrible on the 15.

That's one big reason I just bought the livernois tuner. 1k rpm up a slight incline at 30 mph in 5th gear sucks.

I live in the mountains and I feel the same way! Going up slight inclines at 30 mph in 5th gear in town sucks! I hate having to put it in sport mode all the time. I am looking for a tuner for that very reason. Would be nice to have a tow option in the tune too. And a fuel economy tune. If anyone gets one that solves this problem , let me know.

I wish that it didn't drop two gears and rather used the twins to power through a little more.

Same deal here. I'm forever downshifting with the - button on the shifter.

I asked Unleashed (Torrie) to try to fix the shifting patterns in my custom tune.

He sent me an updated tune and I applied it.

What a difference! Shifts just the way I want it to now.
I have the 93Performance tune. Unreal how much a tune wakes these ecoboosts up.
Now with the shifting adjusted, I really love the way my truck goes!

Now the only thing I don't like is having Sync2 and not Sync3. ;-)

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I like the way my transmission shifts. For everyday driving I leave it in normal mode but if I want to drive more aggressively, I hit sport mode. I find the transmission much better than the ones in the 2012 Ram and 2015 Tahoe we have at work.
