Transfer case help
2015 f150 ecoboost transfer case is stuck in 4x4 as motor failed .I want to shift it manually to 2wd while waiting for part to arrive. Which way do I spin the shaft? Is it all the way clock wise to 2wd? Then if I rotate counter clock wise 4h and then 4l?
thanks in advance

I guess I don't understand the question. Did vehicle engine fail? Or did the transfer case shift motor fail?
If your concerned about driving the truck on dry roads with the 4x4 engaged, then rather than mess with the transfer case, I would just block off vacuum to the front hubs to disengage the front wheels and run it like that until the new part arrives.

Shift motor failed . I was taking it it a part attempting to get it working and now all though is showing that it's in 2wd front driveline is engaged. I watched some youtube videos and older style ford's had it marked on case where shift motor bolts on which way so rotate shift shaft to put it in 2wd
Only way to get it out if you can't get the transfer case disengaged is to disengage the IWEs. Only way to do that is to apply vacuum to the lines. It doesn't take much vacuum so you don't want to over do it as you will then destroy your IWEs as well. So be VERY CAREFUL

Before we do that. Have you verified that the front wheels are engaged or disengaged when the switch is in 2H? You check this with the truck running, switch in 2H and then get underneath to see if you can turn the shafts that go to the front wheels. I you can, then they are disengaged.
