Tailgate lock

Does the tailgate work? If not your harness may be unplugged- first thing the tech checked.

Look underneath your truck right behind the spare tire, look for this connector (it has just two wires coming out of it if you don't have the factory backup camera). Make sure this connector is connected, it controls your tailgate lock.

It is connected. But I'm thinking they may have messed something up when they sprayed the bed liner in

If you have that connector connected with those color wires, than you have a locking tailgate, you just need to have them find out why it's not working.

Alright I got it squared away. I disconnected the wires unlocked the truck and the tailgate as I had the cover of that allows access to the locking mechanism and then plugged it back in and it worked. Thanks again for your assistance. On less thing to worry about

That sounds like a good idea. I'd like a back up camera first though. We will see how it goes..
