tail gate steps
Not sure it can be added to a non step tailgate. I suspect the "innards" are different.
I'll say though,
I really didn't think I wanted one but it was part of a package on my 2014 KR. And it turned out to be an invaluable feature.
I'm currently considering another F150 and will not have one w/o the tailgate step.

I want to add the integrated tailgate step to my XLT. Does the entire tailgate have to be replaced?
I took a look at the AMP bed step. Although it seems durable it doesn't look attractive hanging down under the bumper.

The tailgate has to be replaced as they are different part numbers. Also, it would need to be painted adding to the cost. As I understand it, they are around $5,000 or something ridiculous like that.
The body shop guys at my local dealer told me the Platinum edition trim piece on the back of the tailgate is $750 by itself.

Thanks for the info.
$5000 for a tailgate! Do they provide lube with that?
You'll need to piece it together for the total price, but nothing looks too outrageously expensive...other than that rear applique. Could probably use some of the old parts too.
