Default Sync vs Navigation

What is the difference between SYNC® with MyFord Touch® and Navigation

SYNC® with MyFord Touch® say this:
Available Voice-Activated Navigation with SiriusXM** Traffic and Travel Link® with five (5) years of service in the 48 Contiguous United States and D.C. - In-dash screen and SD card for map and POI storage and integrated SiriusXM Travel Link®

The Navigation option says this: (thanks to Curry Bob's VIN)
Available Voice-Activated Navigation with SiriusXM* Traffic and Travel Link® includes: - Five (5) years of service in the 48 Contiguous United States and D.C. - In-dash screen and SD card for map and POI storage.

Sounds like the same thing

I did not get the HD radio like Curry Bob just what comes on Lariat 501A

Little cornfused

The way I read it is that if you get navigation is it supported. IE "available". I am pretty sure there is no navigation if you do not add it. If you do add it, sync can control it.

This is very misleading. The My Touch popup shows the nav, dual zone climate control and the 8'' center screen. I thought all of those (except nav) were included on the XLT with 302 because it showed this included. Nope, still a 4'' center screen and no dual zone, even though it has MFT.

Nope and I think the key word in both is "available". I got 501A and Sony 10 speaker and I am pretty sure it does not have nav.

Ya I completeyl agree, but they may be saying that use can use the SD slot for music? Either way it is written poorly.

When I first read it when buying I was thinking same as you and was confused. I look at it like buying a home entertainment recieiver and it saying available subwoofer port. As in hey you can add a subwoofer to this.
