Default Sync update refuses to work

I have been trying all day to download and install the latest Sync update for my truck

It either does not download or when it does, I have loaded it on to two different flash drives and each time it quits after saying "waiting for USB drive" and then states that there was a problem with the drive and fails. I have tried two different drives, formatted FAT32 and reloaded 15 times. and each time it does the same.

I am again trying for the 4th time to re download the file and now the page gust flips between the log in page and the download page. Rebooted three times and it still does the same thing. I am having the same issue on two different computers.

I am getting fed up with this crap from Ford!

I also had issues with trying to get the update to work. I ended up using a flash drive that was 4GB I think. I also initiated the update via wifi. I walked away from the truck for an hour or so then came back and everything was updated. I turned off the truck, opened the doors, then closed them and turned it back on and the update finally took.

I am on my third flash drive.

I think the file on Fords Server is corrupted.

Sync 2

I finally got it to load using the third flash drive. It is updated to version 3.7. I thought the latest was 3.8.

Is version 3.10 the latest?

It was updated to 3.7 on Sept 2015 when it was built. It just updated to 3.10 today. Is this correct

I assume that 3.7 is 3.seven and 3.10 is 3.ten and not .1

I could not get mine to update via wifi to Sync 3 latest build, but was able to make it happen with the usb drive.

I didn’t think we could update anymore,, thought Ford had stopped it.. Noticed anything that made it worthwhile doing the update?

I have sync 3 in my 2018. It is still running version 2.3, Nav is Version Na 1 15

Looks like there is an update to version 3. Why cant I start the update when connected to my smart phone. looks like I have to log in to desktop, & load onto a USB, then connect it to the truck, & drive for an hour while it downloads, without turning off the vehicle.

That's the only way I could get it to work. I tried doing it over wifi, as it connects to my home wifi, but it would not work. I will say once I got the usb drive in and it started, it took about 20 minutes, not the hour like I expected.
