Default Sync system question

The system allows you to copy from a CD to the hard drive on the truck. But has anyone found a way to do that from your phone?

I don't think there's a hard drive on this truck....

You might be right, I haven't checked this one. There was on my 2012. Good point!

Correct MFT and basic SYNC do not use a hard drive. You can't store music files within the vehicle system itself.

But you can load up a USB thumb drive and play certain types of music file formats. Check out your manual for file formats and rip you CDs onto a thumb drive.

I assume that just changed with the 2015? Because you definitely could with my 2012.

Blame the music industry, they thought they were being cheated out of a few dollars.

Same for the SD card slot! I have a 32gig one in mine right now, leaving the USB ports open for charging phones or tablets. Which reminds me, I need more USB cables.

Hi mbell,

jm061 is correct. The MyFord Touch system does not have the JukeBox feature. Previous models with Jukebox had SYNC with Voice-Activated Navigation. You can load music on a USB drive , SD card, and stream audio with your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone to play music. The supported file types are .mp3, .wma, .wav, and .aac.

Check out this link: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-t...=my-ford-touch

I hope this helps!
