Sync System is Crazy Slow
Sorry for the long read but, I tried to be through in explaining my issues and step by step process in addressing them to help anybody else out since that's what this forum is for!
First off, I had my phone connected to my sync system as both media and phone. I would be listen to music off Apple Music which used to work just fine then all of a sudden would pause and play completely sporadically. It is now only playing for a few seconds before dropping the bluetooth connection with my phone (wired is fine). Then it reconnects, some times. Now the whole system is some times slow and some times normal but, the phone still never works right. And recently it loses gps signal. When you adjust the volume the sound adjust at the speakers but, sometimes its 30 seconds later is when it displays the change. If you press anything it can take up to a whole minute before it even goes to the radio tab or whatever (playing just FM). Tonight I parked, pressed to "on/off" ignition button to turn off the motor, gauge cluster went black, opened the door and it took a good minute for the center screen to do the off animation. When I walked in the house I tried seeing a forscan backup video and it had no audio and I think it was still connected to the truck several minutes later. I've tried the "master reset" or whatever they call it in the menus. I've tried reseting it by holding skip and power, still does it. I was going to go into forscan and try and reset everything.
2018 F150 Lariat with Sync 3 and gps
vers 2.3 (tried to update to 3 when it was first released, would never do anything even after leaving it for a whole hour once)
I have done a few forscan things; Lincoln mirrors, get out with key honk delete, global windows (though only the fronts do it), gauge cluster temp display, recommended tire pressure and heated steering wheel and seats (both ac and heat) on "Home". But, I did that when I first got the truck like in February so, I don't see how that would now be messing it up.
Has anybody had similar issues or have any ideas? I have my back up for forscan before I did anything to it I just don't really wanna go through every module if I don't have to and have it maybe not work. :/ I don't really want to deal with my dealer since they are idiots, they didn't believe me that the 2nd generation 3.5L EB motor came out in 2017 and was paired with the "new" 10 speed tranny. They argued with me and even called "seasoned" salesmen for conformation that the 10 speed was brand new to all F150s in 2018 and the only one in 2017 to have it was the raptor. Even though I have a 2017 sales guide announcing the 10 speed... lol Moral of the story HELP so I don't have to deal with them, even though I think something is wonky with the whole system....
Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the tip! I’ve followed the steps from Ford and watched videos online on the v3 update. I didn’t know if my Mac was maybe the issue since the ford stuff is based in windows. But, I’ll try the master reset and be through in following the steps. I feel like that would be a good place to start trying tomorrow.

Well, gentlemen, preliminary results are in. I went on owner.ford followed every instruction to the letter including buying a brand new 32gb drive and refreshing to to exfat. Then, I went out to my truck, started it, did a master reset in the sync menu, waited for it to completely reboot. I placed my thumb drive into the sync USB port waited about 5 to 7 minutes (after following owner.fords instructions on prep) then at the top bar it said something along the lines of installing software update. I was on the "home" screen and did NOT touch anything during the process, it did freeze up the navigation mini screen on "home". Approximately 45 minutes later after just cruising around (owner.ford said I could) and worrying that it froze, it finally popped up complete. I pulled over, removed the usb, turned the truck off opened the door to completely shut everything off and waited a sec before restarting it. It booted slow and every button was slow to respond... at first. After I had been into a tab it would act brand new. I confirmed that it was in fact v3. I connected my phone back up to bluetooth which, took awhile and didn't work several times but, it eventually connected and after a few minutes of use and contacted downloaded it seemed to run fine. I have had a few "bluetooth disconnected and reconnected" problems like I had before but, I was messing with settings getting everything put back. So, AT THIS POINT (knock on my particleboard desk) everything is like brand new on the sync front. Only thing not working is my phone messages but, I'm in the iOS 12 beta program so not surprised and it didn't work before all the other issues.
SHOUT OUT TO: Livnitup mad props man!
Bo. you might try the update if you have not already.

Hopefully. My Android phone was working flawlessly with Sync 3 v3 until my phone recently took an update and now it loses Bluetooth connection and re-connects when in the truck so I'm kind of in the same boat.
