Default Sync 3 update

I am trying to update my '16 F-150 Lariat Sync 3 in order to have carplay. Has anyone ever encountered "error 0x80004005" when downloading the update from Ford? I have tried on two different computers and get the same error on each. I have contacted Ford via chat and was told to wait 24-48hrs, still receive the same error..

Any suggestions on this?

For my 2018 FORD F-150 XLT I also receive the unspecified error 0x80004005 each time I attempt to transfer the downloaded files from the zip file to the USB drive. I have even tried moving each file separately. All files/folders move to the USB drive except for two files. Files JR3T-14G381-AS.tar.gz and JR3T-14G391-CE.tar.gz will not transfer to the USB drive. The above unspecified error appears for each of these two files and they will not transfer. All others have moved to the USB drive. There is plenty of room on the USB drive. I'm using Windows 10.0.18363 Build 18363. I have completed Windows scans on the system and there are no errors noted. And yes, the USB drive was reformatted to the exFAT format, 256GB in size. Downloaded using Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome with the same results.

The following files moved to the USB drive:
autoinstall.lst
DONTINDX.MSA

The folder "SybcMyRide" moved to the USB drive with the following files:
GB5T-14G386-AB.tar.gz
HB5T-14G386-TCB.tar.gz
HB5T-14G386-THA.tar.gz
HB5T-14G387-AAB.tar.gz
JR3T-14G423-CB.tar.gz

The following files will NOT transfer to the USB drive and each prompts the unspecified error 0x80004005:
JR3T-14G381-AS.tar.gz
JR3T-14G391-CE.tar.gz

Thank you for the reply and the link. The two files are different in size than the ones in the new zip file. I'm guessing there have been minor updates to the newer files. I think I will give their SYNC 3 customer support a call tomorrow. I'll post what the response is.

Had the same issue and Ford acknowledged it. I have a call scheduled today with one of their Engineers. Jamie is the man!
