Think it started at the beginning of the month and ends today if i remember right. It will likely work for a day or two until they knock out our radio id again.

Trying to check for updates on my 2018 XLT with Sync3. Has been "checking for updates" for the last 20 minutes... is that normal? What is the latest version of Sync3? Mine states Software version 2.3.

Just download the files and install via usb. Wifi updates are unreliable in terms of them actually finding anything.

Is there any workaround to add more than 3 POI on the navigation? This is nowhere near enough when you have to look for Gas, Coffee, Pizza, and need to find the wayside with rest area afterwards....without taking eyes off the road.

My F150 was built 4/27/2018 and came with Sync 3.0 build 17xxx (can't remember the full string of numbers off the top of my head). It looks like most people are upgrading to 18025 and some to 18093. From the information I read in this thread, it looks like the Ford owner website is letting me update to 18025. Does that make sense or should I be getting 18093? Is 18093 and official release or just a beta release?

I don't think having auto updates makes a difference for this. But I'd leave it off bc manual control is my preferred way to go.
Hey, I just tried to download those links again (getting the MEM003 error too) and they are both the NAV version (I think) at least, the files are the same. Do you have a link to the Non-NAV Sync 3.0?

I just ran into the MEM_ERR03 problem this morning trying to do the udpate on my non-nav unit. Thanks to this thread I was able to resolve it by running the update in two passes. You shouldn't need to download anything beyond the update you got from Ford. All you need to do is create two versions of the autoinstall.lst to run the update in two passes.

The first pass I did without the JR3T-14G391-BD.tar.gz file in the autoinstall.lst, so delete that from the list and don't forget to renumber the Item and Open entries. So mine looked like this:
[SYNCGen3.0_3.0.18025_PRODUCT]
Item1 = HB5T-14G386-THA
Open1 = SyncMyRide\HB5T-14G386-THA.tar.gz
Item2 = HB5T-14G386-TBB
Open2 = SyncMyRide\HB5T-14G386-TBB.tar.gz
Item3 = GB5T-14G386-SC
Open3 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-SC.tar.gz
Item4 = JR3T-14G381-AL
Open4 = SyncMyRide\JR3T-14G381-AL.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall
[SYNCGen3.0_ALL]
Item1 = JR3T-14G423-BA
Open1 = SyncMyRide\JR3T-14G423-BA.tar.gz
Item2 = GB5T-14G386-AA
Open2 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-AA.tar.gz
Options = Delay,Include,Transaction
The second pass I did with only the GB5T-14G386-SC.tar.gz and JR3T-14G391-BD.tar.gz in the autoinstall.lst.
[SYNCGen3.0_ALL]
Item1 = GB5T-14G386-SC
Open1 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-SC.tar.gz
Item2 = JR3T-14G391-BD
Open2 = SyncMyRide\JR3T-14G391-BD.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall,Delay,Include
I did get a strange message on both passes but it seemed to work. Sync version now shows v3.0.

I'm just gonna have the dealer install the update. Seems like all someone would need to do is connect to wifi and it should do the update, kinda stupid that it doesn't update like it was designed to do...
