I picked up my car from the dealers yesterday, and found out about this Syn3 version issue last night. I am not going to return the car because of this but Sync3 with AndroidCar was one of major decision point for me to pick 302A package.

If Ford doesn't release 2.0 or announce that it won't be working with current H/W, can this be class action case?

You're kidding right??

Because you didn't research the options on the vehicle you purchased has prior to purchasing? How is that Ford or the dealer's fault?

Using your logic, owners of Apple IMacs should also get a class action going because they won't run the latest version of the Mac OS.

If you wanted Android Auto, you should have bought a 17, which was announced to have AA installed in a press release months ago. Did you order the truck or pick one up that had been sitting on the lot?

the way i see it is there is 2 days left in this year and v2.0 still isn't out yet. The only reason i didn't get the nav was cuz i was told that v2.0 would have CarPlay. Must say I'm pretty upset about this i was told back in February that this was going to happen and still not even a release date 😡

You do realize Ford has already stated Sync 2.0 (or 2.2) upgrade for vesion 1.0 & 1.1 users won't be released for Ford vehicles in 2016

uhhh sync connect is not the same as sync 3
Sync 3= radio
Sync Connect is the 4g cell modem that links your truck to an App on your iphone or andriod so you can lock/unlock, remote start/ check the fuel status ect ect... similar names but completely different functions

Sync connect turns your cell phone into the cars fob, works as long as you and your truck have cell service

you inferred a hell of a lot, original post about sync 3 software and then making a comment about sync connect costing money...
just educating you they are not the same other than sharing the word sync

Ehh. I went to 2.2 from 1.0 two weeks ago and it has worked like a charm. Downloaded from one of the other threads. Absolutely love Android Auto.
