Default Sync 3 map update (EFC06376)

Supposedly this Ford Electronic Field Communication (EFC06376) to the dealers outline the process to update the built in maps on Sync 3 systems with Nav. If anybody has access to this or can obtain a copy and can share it here it would be really appreciated.

I've been told by two dealer service departments that the usb upgrade is not currently available.

Exactly WHAT did you buy for $28?

You can't get the USB via Ebay, because it has to be encrypted with your vin.

nobody is listing anything regarding EFC06376.

You just wasted your money buying an SD Card, that will not work in your truck (if you have a Sync3).

Hmm does that mean it will be current as of 2 years ago instead of 3?

Well now.. That is very interesting, since Ford tells everyone they MUST order via dealerships and MUST encrypt with VIN for the USB to install. Not that Ford was ever totally incorrect with their information mind you!

Could you provide a link to your EBAY buy please? (( I just tried searching several ways, and I come up with nothing!))

maybe a photo of the USB you received.

and what does you system say you have for maps now?

From what I can find that EFC06376 document was from over a year ago outlining how the dealer orders the maps on the USB drive which is no longer available. Someone in one of these threads supposedly got a replaced SYNC 3 under warranty that had NA1-16 and the dealer upgraded it to NA1-17. If that person could ask that dealership a document or process number that they used to do that, we could then go to our dealers with that info. I would be curious how much map updates will cost if there is shop time involved.

That would be me, I asked the dealership and I was told they had to contact Ford to have my Sync account reset so they could download the newest version. I also found this to be true as when I went to Owner.ford.com, it said my sync was updated as of March 19, 2019. The version listed under my Sync is JR3T-14G381-AM.
