Default Sync 3 & iOS 10 Issues

I updated to IOS 10 last night and noticed my '16 f-150 with sync 3 (v1.0) does not notify me of text messages anymore. It also doesn't let me use sync to initiate a call. After pressing the voice button on the steering wheel and saying "call xxx", it just returns to the radio. I've confirmed notifications are enabled under my phones settings for the sync Bluetooth connection. I've tried turning off and on both the phone and the truck with no resolve.

Anyone have any ideas? I've PM'd Ford reps on here.

It must have broke Sync/Siri platform much like a previous update broke MFT. I have MFT on my '15 and the first thing I did after the upgrade was test it out with my truck. I'm happy to report that MFT still works. Sorry Sync guys! They'll have to patch it at some point, I guess...

A positive to take away from this is to not update it immediately. I think the last few iOS major updates had a .0.1 immediately after.

Hope it gets resolved quickly for you.

I've had the iOS 10 beta loaded for several weeks and I updated to production version yseterday. I haven't noticed any issues.

I know from past experiences with MyFordTouch & beta testing several iOS versions, that I had to delete the phone from MFT and also delete the Bluetooth pairing on the iPhone. After re-pairing the device, all seemed to work "ok" (well, as 'ok" as MFT could get)
I also used to have to double check the BT settings on the phone and insure that the "Show notifications" was turned on.

I'm thinking all new OS'es that are version 10 are turds. (I miss Windows 7)
I'll wait till the 10.0.1 patch comes out. should be any day now.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for sharing your experiences. We don't get access to Apple's updates in advance, so we find out about possible issues after the release.
