Isn't Ford apart of the Apple developer program? I believe they get access to beta releases ahead of time...it would be worth it for Ford to do testing of upcoming iOS releases ahead of time.

I hope you just came up with that without talking to your devs ahead of time because that would be pathetic if that's Fords stance.

I updated to 10 as soon as it was available. I have had no changes as far as usability.

You might want to consider resetting your sync and setting your phone up fresh.

My 13 years old son had iOS 10 Beta on his iPod...

So if he can get it and play with it, I bet someone at Ford could also... :-)

Hi 2014explorer,

Which system do you have: owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/setup/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html

Hi all-

Our engineers work with Apple to fix possible issues. Our customer service reps, including me, are not engineers. We do, however, take the time to play around with phones after updates to help assist customers. Be sure to report any issues to Apple, so they can work with Ford's support team.

We don't expect you to be engineers, but I think we would hope that your engineers/developers are not only testing iOS/Android releases with Sync before they're released to the public but that they relay this information to those who represent the company and technology. That's fairly basic. I feel for you if they just throw you out to the public to answer these questions completely uninformed.

Default iOS 10 and USB Connection

I have a 2016 F150 Lariat with Sync 3. Has anyone had issues, or found a solution for an iphone 6s not connecting over USB after the ios 10 update? Before the update both bluetooth and USB worked fine. After the update, when I plug in the phone in via USB, I can see the phone charging, and Sync 3 states it's connected, but it will not show up as an audio source, or allow me to use the Ford Pass app, or any other service over USB.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I've had no problems. However, I have a habit of deleting my phone from Sync and forget the Sync bluetooth from my phone, then re-pair them after a major iOS update.

Try removing the pairings and re-pair.

No issue with my iPhone 7 running 10.0.2. Did you try deleting the phone from Sync, forgetting the connection on your phone and then re-pair them?
