Thanks, sasnak. I've report the concern to my support team.

Has anyone heard any updates about this?

I just bought a 2016 F150 XLT Sport based on the assurance from the salesman/sale manager that the Android Auto update was just "days away" - that was the beginning of August.

I actually have a business where I make extensive use of both a phone and a tablet, and having that integration was the reason for buying the truck in the first place. Had I known they were full of it, I would have waited until the 2017's showed up.

It has been posted many, many times. "Before year end".

Your salesperson was full of it. They have no knowledge, neither does the Ford Sync rep on the forum.

Before I bought my XLT, I had an extended test drive in a nearly identical truck (different color & no nav and pano-roof).
It had android auto, but my May '16 built truck does not. Not sure what the build date on the first truck was.

I just picked up my F150 today. The salesman mentioned that Android Auto wouldn't be available for a few months. When I was playing with the settings today I turned on the slider and it worked without a problem. I have Sync 2.0 and the truck was built in August so it is possible they are shipping all of them updated now.

I did not get Nav. when I ordered my truck due to the Android Auto App, but the dealer did not know when it would be available.

The truck is due in next week and I was wonderin if the app is out yet.

If so an you have it, does it work well?

Thanks!
AA will be released as an upgrade to existing trucks later this year (supposedly...). However, new production '16s have been coming with it already installed for a couple months, and '17s will all have it.

No. That really is a hardware update.
