You can force an update check by toggling automatic updates off, and then back on again.

Or just goto owner.ford.com and check the sync updates. When available you will also be able to download the upgrade file from here, if you want to do the update via a USB thumb drive.

Its extra frustrating knowing that the 2016's with a slightly later build date have version 2 but no update is available for mine (04/21 build date). Sheesh! (1st world problems! lol)
