What do you do to upgrade to sync 3 from sync 2 in my 2015 Platinum? From what I have read you can’t. If you can’t upgrade what do you buy? Radio, antennae, what else? Do you buy thru Ford or where do you buy the necessary things? Can you get the items from a wrecked vehicle and use them? I’m old school sorry,

 

You’d need a sync 3 screen, a sync 3 apim, gps antenna, usb hub, new usb cable, and a power adapter for the usb hub. Screen and apim are often sold together at wrecking yards for significantly less than eBay. The other parts can easily be sourced from eBay.

 

Check the 15-20 parts sales page on this forum. There is a member that sells everything you need, and even programs it for you. I think the user is Watson Tech
