If you have MFT but no "navigation" in the upper right then your vehicle is not equipped with true Navigation which includes Sirius travel link. If you wish to get OEM Navigation it is not an upgrade supported directly from Ford but there are places you can contact to either have your unit upgraded or get a replacement. It isn't cheap. If you get OEM navigation you can then contact Sirius and have Travel Link enabled but you have to speak with their tech support first.

 

Just bought a 2014 Platinum. When I got it there was no card in the SD slot. I’m assuming it came with the A4 card but I’m not sure. Can I just buy the newer version card and stick it in the SD slot and it work?

 

Yep, the A8 map card is the most recent and would work if your truck has the MyFordTouch with navigation.

 

My current map is A6, How reliable is the A8 map on Ebay for $45? To those who already bought A8, is there any substantial map upgrade over A7?

If you have a 2015 without navigation, you can add it with FORscan for the price of a navigation card.

 

I just bought a $45 A8 ebay card when i unlocked nav with Forscan. Although it wasn't in OEM packaging, it works just like OEM. Compared it to my GF's dads Nav which he bought from the dealer and there's no difference whatsoever...
