After looking at trucks, driving by dealerships, seeing F150's on the street and shopping for one I feel like wen our Super-cab shows up we will certainly be in a minority. Mostly Crew-Cabs driving around. I'm used to being the oddball LOL!!
out of 169 F150s they had 158 Screw, 2 Scab, 9 Reg
and of that 169, only 20 were 2wd...Just seemed very one sided to me.
In the 1990's the regular cab trucks were in the majority as I recall with extended cabs still being a common sight. Once the F150 SuperCrew hit in the 10th generation it quickly became common and eventually supplanted other cab types. GM used to only offer a crew cab on the Silverado 1500HD and then offered it on all 1500's once the SuperCrew hit and sold so well. Since the early 2000's crew cabs have exploded as more and more people turn to trucks to be the jack of all trades. They haul the family, commute to work, and have enough bed space to handle moving the materials needed for basic home improvement projects. Trucks are nice enough to take executives out for lunch. They often serve as field offices for people on the move.

I love the look of the super cab trucks but I wouldn't own one. I had two 10th generation super cabs and one Silverado extended cab. All of them were noisy as hell. The suicide doors rattle like a screen door in a hurricane over rough terrain. It's annoying because the rattling is right behind my head. I also test drove some newer super cabs and found the same problem on the 2013 Super Duty. The 2015 was quiet enough but none of them on the lots were anything more than basic XLTs which didn't interest me. Granted I could have ordered one but I was still concerned that rattling would start after a few thousand miles. I wasn't about to deal with that again so I said "SCREW" it.
It's funny too, I used to prefer the look of crew cab trucks back when I drove extended cab trucks. These days I prefer the look of the extended cab unless the crew cab has a longer bed. I think the 2015+ F150 SuperCrew with the 6' 1/2 bed is the best looking truck out there.

I've had scabs and screws and the screw works best for me. Everyone has different needs and likes, makes the world go round. As far as looks, look at SPOATS RCSB - that, in my opinion, is one sweet looking ride!
