Default Stalling at stop light

Did the stalling at stop lights issue get resolved? My has stalled a few times, but mostly just stumbles while waiting on a light to turn. seems like it gets better with some fuel treatment.

Make sure to put your vehicle details in your signature.. From the info you gave you could be driving anything.

My ‘18 XLT SCREW 2.7 with 43k miles stalled a few times at stop lights over the past 2 months. It was intermittent and weeks apart. No codes were thrown.

last week, it started cutting out / missing while towing under load in the mountains.

I replaced the plugs, and gapped them tighter due to running a tune. No more cutting out under load, and more power. The stalling hasn’t returned, but it was not happening often anyway.

More details necessary on your situation. What truck, what motor, is it stock, tuned, miles, ever replaced the plugs, etc?

Ford specifically states in the owner's manual not to use any additives.

there was a long thread a while back. i drive a 5.0 but it happens with others. After a freeway drive when you exit the freeway and stop at a light the engine stumbles and/or stalls. Several people had things replaced- maf sensors, cam phasers, etc but the problem came back. mine is very intermittent. sometimes its really bad, then goes away for a while. seems worse on 1/4 tank of gas remaining or less. some kind of vapor issue maybe.

only at idle never under power.

No tune or mods. 85K miles, regular maintenance, factory plugs

My 5.0 started doing it at around 50-55,000 miles. Truck would idle rough and eventually die if you had to sit at idle for very long (like at a red light). I finally got the dealer to replicate it and the truck to throw a code. They replaced the VCT solenoids under my extended warranty at around 60,000 miles. I sold the truck 2 weeks ago with a hair over 110,000 miles. It never stalled again. I did have a slight vibration at idle that I swear wasn't there before, otherwise no issues.

It usually gets worse as your oil is dirty. That's one of the sure-fire ways to get a dealer to replicate it, let your oil life run down before you bring it in.

Sounds like it could be a fuel pump issue. Had a similar issue in my wife's near new Jeep. Would cut out when not under load and turned out to be a fuel pump.
