This is what you are talking about, typically this has been resolved with a replaced cam phaser but @SCrewYou got out easy

i doubt it's phasers or fuel pump or it would be more consistent- knock on wood.

You really wont know until and a real life expert can look it over after it throws a CEL.

When my engine stumbles a bit it's always when I come to a stop with either the defroster or the air conditioning on, doesn't do it if I'm not using either of those.

Had this problem for about a year and a half and finally figured out what it was. Stalling at stops was caused by a loose relay in engine compartmnet. Relay 301 for Fuel Pump. Guess it was jiggling itself loose somehow and was starving itself of fuel. Today it did something it never did before and was clicking on and off so I was able to isolate it and swap its place with another relay, pushed down real hard and the clicking stopped. No more stalling at stops. Can't believe it was something that simple. Been racking my brain over this for like a year. I took it to a few shops and they said I needed transmission rebuild LMAO! It pays to do your own work sometimes.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? My 2019 ford f150 xlt sometimes dies at red light with ac running. It has a low idle as well. It threw a code one time in the last 2 years but dealer changed a part (don't remember what) and didn't fix the issue.

I think you may be right. I have a 14’ f150 xlt. Mine has been having similar issues. I do remember during one stall it wouldn’t turn over and I heard clicking near fuse box. I started tapping on the randomly then it started back up. It still stalls so I’m thinking either fuses are going bad or battery power low, since one time I had to reconnect battery cable for it to start running
