Default Software updates?

Anyone been able to do a software update? I have it all sync’d up to my home WiFi and it says its scanning for updates...but it just goes and goes and goes. Never actually updates.

I updated my Sync 3 from 2.3 to 3.0 via USB stick, to do it over wifi may take you forever. As for other updates, I am not sure what is available if anything.

Same here! I’ve never been able to get the WiFi update to work.

Also, if it is the 3.0 update you are after, just go to owner.ford.com and under support sync software updates it gives a good step by step of how to get the update onto your USB and then into your truck. It took me several attempts to get the update onto my USB for some reason (I don't have a great computer).

Will the dealership update as part of the 5,000 service? 5,000 miles for me is about every 2 months. If I have it at the dealership that frequently for service it would be nice if they did it. The BMW place does that for my wife’s car every time she takes it in.

Personally I would just put it on a stick and when you know your going to be going on a 45 min drive, let it update then. Otherwise you will be sitting in your garage for that period of time letting your truck idle for the entire update time.

It says it’s supposed to do the updates automatically, but I have no idea if it’s actually updating. It’s connected to my home WiFi sitting in the driveway. What is the current software version?

Current version is 3.0. Also, what it says it is suppose to do and what it actually does are two different things
