Sorry I thought it was F150 only but seems to be all:

https://www.vicbaileyauto.com/lifeti...rain-warranty/

This is my local dealer but before all the lockdown events it appeared to be a Ford thing or majority of the dealers. My understanding is it is a policy Ford or dealer buys on your behalf (better make sure they don't add it in somewhere like most scums might try) but now that I read it again, this might be just a dealer thing and may not be everywhere.

I also found this one just by searching google

https://www.fivestarfordga.com/Five-...-Warranty.html

So is it dealer by dealer or something Ford is having their dealers do I don't know but if you in for a new Ford check it out. I question it because I keep my vehicles for usually at lest 15 years so I have a hard time believing they will fix things that a normal power-train warranty would cover for 15 plus years. Notice there isn't any documentation as to what is or isn't covered..... This offer came out right after I bough my 2019 F150 so I haven't put effort in to finding out what the truth is on it. Oh course I am sure they might use it to claim they can't give a better price because they are paying for teh warranty so good luck and happy shopping.

Thanks, I'll read thru those links. I just picked up my 2020 on 3/13, nothing was mentioned about a warranty like that at that time.

It looks like those are a selling aid. Man, wish my dealer did that, or maybe not. My deal may not have been as good as I got.

Sorry, no, it just came to me that I hadn't noticed it in a very long time. I don't know which but I think the latest flashes supersede the older ones so the latest should cover you. I have had two that i know of that involved the transmission.

Gotcha, thanks. I’ll ask about that next time I go in.

Default Warranty

When I just bought my truck...2018 lariat with 13,300 miles from a dealer in Maryland they were offering 20 year or 200,000 mile warranty. Main decision I bought from them. For power train ( motor, transmission and differentials )

Default Double check the servicing requirements

Quite often those warranties require more frequent servicing, and require that it be done at the dealer. You end up paying a lot more money in the event that nothing fails during the warranty. With the extra and required maintenance and required repairs to keep that warranty active you also reduce the likelihood that anything will ever break regardless of the warranty. Which means at that point you’re protecting the dealers interests as much as yours

Yep, still does it, I'll confirm that. This would be more of a firmware fix if it even could be fixed electronically VS mechanically.

My 2020 2.7 4x4 10 speed does the same. I traded a 2017 3.7 RWD 8 speed Chevrolet Colorado that did it too.
Until I saw this thread I thought it could be normal for these modern drivelines. ( I must think like Ford and GM...LOL )
My truck before the Colorado was a 1997 f150 I bought new and drove for 20 years so I was not use to modern.
