Mine does this occasionally. It seems to be the drive shaft trying to rotate while starting.

Wonder why he's not bashing his truck during this video? 1:33 mark. Guess this is one of the features GM contributed to the design of the 10 SPD.
Side note, I really love that truck.

I get it occasionally when starting. It never really bothered me. I’d imagine it’s something to do with clutch pack engagement or something in the valve body while the trans builds line pressure at startup. Don’t foresee it causing issues down the road. Plus, you’ll know right when your Ujoints start to get play in them LOL

I have a headache looking for an "UPDATE FIX"...LOL please don't hate, I rarely get on here anymore.

So is there a TSB or fix?? My 2018 just started doing it loudly at 47K, my 2020 does every once in a while it but it is barely noticeable.

Thank you for any replies...

I had a 2018 F150 that clunked on start up, traded for the new Ranger, (not because of the clunk, but because I wanted the new Ranger when I saw it came back) it clunks on start up too. It also has the 10 speed tranny. Great truck by the way.

I had the same experience. My 18' 5.0 was super loud. My 20' 3.5 is nonexistent.

But it doesn't do it on a stop/start event. Never.

Why is that. You figure it would do it then But your in drive, that is the difference.

It won't let you start the vehicle in Drive with your foot on brake.
