Default Shocks

I have a 2018 F150 STX Super Crew 2WD.

I was thinking of replacing the OEM shocks. The issue is mostly on a particular freeway on my drive to work. It feels like a washboard, lots of bumps. It will go away to some degree if I get out of the #1 lane, but then I'm stuck behind trucks going slower etc.

Not looking for something too pricey.

IMO, and I'll bet in most others the best bang for the buck are the Bilsteins.

Thanks for the reply. Though I had Bilsteins on my Jeep and hated them. Too harsh and they leaked.

Is there a rancho or something else that would work well?

I just put Bilstein 4600s on my SCREW. I definitely notice a positive difference but we are talking solid rear axle with leaf springs so I expect I'll always have a bit of a jarring ride especially on rough roads.

Throw some weight in the bed to see if it makes a difference for you. Add some sand bags over the axle. These trucks are light in the rear and they have a bouncy ride when empty.

I have the bilstein 6112's on the front and the 5100's on the rear. I hate them, the ride is really harsh. The best ride so far, for me, has been the halo lifts coil overs. I had the adjustable trail boss that are no longer available. The aluma 2.0's that replaced the steel body trail boss looks like it will be just as nice when I get t hem for Xmas this year. Spring rate on the coilovers and tires will have a huge effect on ride as well as mentioned putting some weight over the rear axle.

Tried dropping your tire pressure?

I'm guessing your on single ply sidewall tires pumped up to around 55 psi.
Try 35 pounds and see how it feels.

Rancho shocks are a downgrade from stock, they won't improve your ride quality.

I like the Rough Country N2 or N3 either one they also have leveling coil overs at 2.0 etc...already assembled for 330. There or about...

cheap and soft, id go with Bilstein 4600's....id argue the 5100 are too rough.

Not really a good comparison Jeep vs F150...other then that, just get some from Rock Auto
