It still does not excuse the response telling the OP he needs new turbo seals.
Kidding or not, some people will not get it.
Either way, the OP's truck should be fine, as I mentioned earlier the engineers at Ford would not let it rev that high if it were damaging.

Anyone ever accidentally have it in tow haul mode and gone down a steep hill and wonder why your rpm just jumped to 4500 rpm. I've done that one a few times.
O.P you could tow up a steep hill for miles @5000 rpm and be fine.

What does this even mean? Vague much? I welcome any information, in detail, that you have. I screwed up with my truck shifter and I asked a reasonable question as to any possible consequences. The general consensus here is that I should be fine, but I take your vague comments seriously. Please opine.
