I love it...no pic yet. I'll take one tomorrow as it's already too dark for DRL's here.

Any further feedback regarding potential heat issues from using the turn signals as DRLs? I have the same concern as HeavyCal since the lights may not be designed for full time on usage.

I think the devil is going to be that if they're not sinked for 100% runtime, they won't burn out right away but rather will begin to dim over time and then possibly burn out. Might take months before it happens but in the meantime someone will say "I've been running them for XXX weeks/months and no problems". I suspect if you live in Nunavut it's less of a concern than if you live in Arizona for example.

Probably best thing would be to hear from someone that's had one of these assemblies opened up and can comment on how the turn signal is constructed, then we can make an educated guess.

Yeah, I guess we won't know until someone who has this mod reports back after some time. But, as you said earlier, the lamp assemblies are an expensive piece of hardware to replace. Plus, I'm not sure everyone is aware of the fact that the LEDs are not covered under the normal warranty. You must purchase the Premium Care "Plus" option in order to get the bulbs covered under warranty (I purchased it for mine just in case).

HeavyCal & Seadragon, I doubt anyone here has technical data on whether these LED turns are designed to run 100% duty cycle. Most any mod comes with some inherent risk and these headlamps are a fortune to replace so if you're not comfortable doing it, err on the side of caution.

The insides look like this: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/how-o...l-bhlm-326327/

To me it seems like a non-issue. They don't use that much power so there won't be much heat. Plus, they always run at night so it's feasible that someone will use them almost constantly (like me in the winter months where my truck never drives in the sun). I also don't know anyone on this forum who has complained about the ring light going out. I think the lack of use as a DRL was purely because they aren't bright enough to be one.

Quick question regarding the red selection below for dedicated DRL lights. Where would one find the C2280F BCM DRL Output located at? I did a Google search and didn't get a lot of hits so wanted to see what others might know. Toying with some ideas for unique DRL setup but not sure yet what I want to do. Thanks!
Enabled DRL Selection:
726-50-01: XXxx

XX:

10 = Dedicated DRL Lights (LED Light Bars/Strips) - Enables BCM DRL Outputs - C2280F (F-150) Pins 36 (Right) and 40 (Left)

I have considered the same thing also. The connector C2280F is connected to the BCM. The attached diagram shows the location (top left corner). I guess you would have to see if there are wires at pins 36 & 40. If not you would have to add them to the harness. Connector pinout attached also.

I just checked C2280F and verified 36 & 40 are pinned.

Do you think it is likely to be pinned on all models/trim levels?

If so, I wonder where these wires end up. The diagram lists VT-WH color wire for the right side and GY-BU for the left.
