Reset keyless entry code
I bought my 2015 F-150 used from a Chevy dealership six months ago. It didn't come with the code for the keyless entry. I never tried to set it up until now, so I didn't realize it was missing. I called the dealership I bought it from and they pretty much said they can't help since it's a Ford. The Ford dealership will charge me $70 to reset it. Anyone know how to reset it myself without the original code?
Try this. It worked for my 2016. This will display factory code.
Displaying the Factory Set Code
Note: You will need to have two programmed passive anti-theft keys for
this procedure.
To display the factory set code in the information display:
1. Insert a key into the ignition and turn the ignition on for a few
seconds.
2. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
3. Insert the second key into the ignition and turn the ignition on.
The factory set code will display for a few seconds.
Note: The code may not display until after any other warning messages
first display.

You cannot change the original code, but you can add your own code. Your manual should tell you how to display your code, and can be found on the Ford site.

You cannot change it. Only add your own, not erase the original.

As you don't know what the previous owners code was you should dig out that manual and clear all codes. As Rick stated you can't erase the original code but Ford dealer can ( I think ). It might be in your best interest to do this as the previous owner likely has the original code tab. It might also be somewhere in the manual pouch. Good luck.
If previous owner wants your sunglasses or radar detector ...... oh well. He probably knows factory code.
