Default Rearview Camera

For the Lariat Screw is the rearview camera (the one the comes on when in reverse) part of the Technology package (360 camera with split view and lane keeping), or is it an option I'm not seeing somewhere? For some reason I was thinking it was standard and separate from the Tech package then started looking and don't see it as being standard.

I remember during test drives the camera came on while in reverse but don't remember it giving a 360 degree view of things and didn't think to check if the truck had the Tech package.

Rear view camera is standard on Lariat and up.

I believe the technology package gives you the 360 degree cameras and the led headlights/taillights.

The 360 doesn't come on in reverse.

But.....

So I'm thinking it might be part of a package???? I've looked at the 502 and didn't see anything.

Rearview camera was standard on my XLT. Hell, I think the XL has a rearview camera as well.

The 360 camera comes with the tech package along with Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise, Park Assist being an additional feature to add on as well. There is a separate button to activate the 360 camera.

To answer your question though, something would be seriously wrong for a Lariat not to have a rearview camera. It would need the tech package to have the 360 though.

It's probably listed as optional on the build site, but included with every package. Similar to the remote start and power sliding rear window.

Thanks BoozeDaily, that sounds promising. I didn't think it was part of the Tech package and I don't really want any of that but I'd like the rearview camera. I also ran across reverse sensing (that sound that beeps when you get close to an object) which is apparently an option too but with the rearview camera it's pretty much redundant.

Reverse sensing came with my XLT as well, so it should be another one of those optional things that will come standard on the Lariat regardless of what the build site says. If it has 4 spaced out little circles on the rear bumper, it has reverse sensing. Camera will be near the tailgate release handle so you'll know what it has just by looking at it. Window sticker will probably say it as well.

Same here.
At some point I thought it was going to be required for all vehicles to have backup cameras standard. I think Honda has already gone to this, would make sense if Ford started it with their trucks. It's a great safety feature.

And for anyone thinking about getting or not getting the 360 camera on the Tech pkg, I recommend it, it's very helpful.
