He was hoping to get suggestions from grown ups with open minds - no reason to throw a hissy fit. Yeah, we know it's an F-150 forum, but that doesn't mean we have to worship at the F-150 alter - this is just a good all around truck forum and that is why it is popular.

It is hard to understand why some people get defensive on these forums. The F-150 forum is not about cheerleading for Ford but is about consumers exchanging ideas. Looking for justifications for switching to the RAM ED is exactly the same as Looking for assurance for buying the F-150 don't you think?

Math means nothing.

Marketing is everything.

According to math, it makes all the sense in the world to keep my 2010 stx, it's not worth getting a new f150. However, a decently equipped 2015 xlt beats my 2010 in every category, i just want one! Marketing is powerful.

This thread is titled "Ram BS Article". You could start a thread on first hand ecodiesel opinions?
I have a friend who has had one for over 6 months now. Loves it, no problems. He tows a 19ft TT with it and says it has good power. Tows from Bend OR to the coast which goes over a mountain pass. Gets in the mid teens mpg while doing so.

Exactly. Lots of fanboys here. (As I would expect on a f150 forum)

Let us know how the ram works out though. Should work good for Ya.

Maybe you have come to realize that you will only live once. I know I have. (I also have a 2010.)

If you want it, and can afford it, by all means go for it. And ignore the naysayers, or at most, feel sorry for them.
