RAM BS Article.
I am pretty sure you can get a loaded ED for less than a loaded Lariat or platinum in 2015 model.. Or am I way off?! I really want a 15 platinum but the price tag is a killer. I am sure I will bite the bullet sooner than later.
Ford is releasing a new 1.5L engine powered by Nitrogen tetroxide. Cost is $133/ gallon but initial testing has achieved an amazing 40 mpg in a truck and that's all that matters. right? RIGHT?!!!
you can sell a cheaper vehicle when part of it was paid for with your tax dollars.
At $3 a gallon for gas and $4 a gallon for diesel, and $50 per oil change for gas and $80 for diesel-it actually costs more per 10,000 miles to operate than a hemi equipped truck.
I love how people bitch and complain about the fuel economy of ecoboost trucks and how it is "marketing BS". Ram's ecodiesel is the biggest piece of marketing BS in a long time IMO. Exactly zero real world savings.

You are correct and the difference between Ford and the rest is quite significant. I remember when the ED first come out the demand was very high and that kept the price at MSRP. You can purchase the same ED now for $10,000 less and there are even better bargains if you settle for a new 2014. Chevy is also discounting aggressively even on the 2015 models. The current Ford prices are not sustainable so just give it time.
I am currently running a 13 ecoboost but am looking at a ecodiesel for one of my work trucks. We tow a 12 ft enclosed trailer that weighs 3500 lbs 95% of the time. With the ecoboost I can get 10-11 average. With the Eco diesel I test towed with I got 15 over 20 mile stretch @ 70 mph. We drive 40,000 miles a year. And I'm trying to decide what's going to work best for a longer life span. Diesel is more expensive but does last longer and is made for towing.
